While she develops as a lyricist Niykee notes that her pain from the past serves as an endless source of unimaginable ideas. "Even in the absence of writing about my personal life the grief of losing my sister and the pain of my childhood experiences are integrated in my lyrics," she says. It influences my music and provides it with a deeper meaning, which I find extremely important. I'd like to be able listen to my songs in 20 years and feel proud of what I have to say.
